Homebased Studios
A creative design centre dedicated to collaboration is a creative design centre dedicated to collaboration in new facets for arts exhibitions, event management, creative and cultural consulting, curatorship and artist promotion. Located in the heart of squamish homebased studios has space for up to 7 artists in residence.

The Pop Up Studio in The Westin
This pilot project utilizes an otherwise vacant retail space, and is providing Sea to Sky artists with a collective studio space with ten available bays. This collaborative model creates a vibrant workspace for both local and visiting artists of all disciplines. Visit the Pop Up studio to watch artists at work.

Howe Sound Arts Association
The Howe Sound Arts Association is a non-profit organization with charitable tax status (1993), which aims to promote, assist, and develop the arts for the Squamish community. Currently, the organization presents a concert series (3-5) events per year, The Festival of Canadian Arts (3rd week Nov), the adjudicated Howe Sound Music Festival and the Annual Star Search competition.

Maury Young Arts Centre (formerly Millennium Place)
The Arts Centre is a community gathering place. Built entirely on donation, it attests to what can be achieved when a community unites. As the first permanent performance theatre in Whistler, The Arts Centre is the focal point for local and visiting artists of all disciplines. The Gallery showcases local artwork, and the lower level rooms are ideal for a multitude of arts workshops. Along with the theatre, the Arts Centre boasts a boardroom, reception lobby, multipurpose room, music practice rooms, a youth centre, and a daycare. The Arts Centre is the perfect venue for seminars, retreats, strata meeting, performances, classes and more.

Dance Whistler
DANCE WHISTLER is a non-profit group whose goal is to promote, encourage and facilitate dance as a performing art in our community, and which seeks to place dance as a more prominent and vibrant feature of the Whistler arts scene. We are a non-partisan ‘umbrella’ organisation that seeks to fund and promote dance in all its forms, whether through public performances, workshops, competitions, bursaries, or conventions. Membership of Dance Whistler is open to all lovers and supporters of dance, regardless of age or personal dance participation. World Ski & Snowboard Festival

Whistler Children’s Chorus
The Whistler Children’s Chorus is a non-auditioned community choir for youths and children ranging in age from 6 to 25. The Children’s Chorus is made up of 2 distinct choirs – junior and intermediate. The Chorus is for ages 13 and older. Each choir rehearses separately throughout the school year. Throughout the year the choirs perform at community events in Whistler such as the municipal Remembrance Day ceremony, the Christmas Eve Carol Service and the Canada Day parade. In addition, the choir presents three concerts every year. The choir annually takes part in a number of music festivals and workshops and for the past several years, The Chorus has taken part in choir exchanges to Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia.

Whistler Writers Group
The Vicious Circle, as Whistler Writers Group is known, was founded in 2001, to provide a forum for local writers to develop their craft by connecting with other professional writers in our community for discussion and critiquing of an individual writer’s work. Whistler Museum & Archives Society
The Mandate of the Whistler Museum and Archives Society (WMAS) is to develop and maintain a museum and archives of which Whistler, as a community, can be proud. The WMAS fosters the preservation and appreciation of Whistler’s natural setting, and its material heritage (particularly year-round sports and recreation) for the benefit of both community members and guests. The museum collects, preserves, studies, and interprets the natural and human history of the region through entertaining and educational exhibitions and programs for the benefit of children, youth, families, and individuals.

Whistler Film Festival Society
The Whistler Film Festival Society (WFFS) is a charitable cultural organization dedicated to furthering the art of film by providing programs that focus on the discovery, development and promotion of new talent culminating with a must attend festival for artists, the industry and audiences in Whistler that takes place over the first weekend of December. WFFS produces one of Canada’s leading film festivals and plays a leadership role in offering professional development programs and opportunities for filmmakers.

Whistler Singers
The Whistler Singers is a community choir which meets weekly on Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Whistler Secondary. The season usually runs from September to April with occasional Summer events. Music from different periods and various genres is rehearsed and performances are given anywhere from five to ten times throughout the year.Anyone wishing further information should contact Candice at 604-932-3022.

Whistler Valley Quilters Guild
The Guild first began meeting in 1993. Members meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from September to May, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Millenium Place. Workshops are organized during the year with teachers of various disciplines related to quilting and fabric art. Guild members designed and made the quilt “Transitions” which they donated to the Whistler Public Library and which hangs over the fireplace in the Joan Richoh Room. The Guild’s quilt and fibre arts show, “Quilts in the Mountains”, is held every 3 years – the 6th will take place June 11 and 12, 2011. Over the years the Guild has donated proceeds from their raffle quilts to the Whistler Health Care Foundation, Whistler Bear Society, Whistler Blackcomb Foundation, Whistler & Pemberton Public Libraries, Whistler Search and Rescue Society and the Howe Sound Women’s Centre. The Guild also has an ongoing community quilt program that provides quilts for babies, children, adults and families in need. Quilts have also been donated far away from Whistler – to victims of hurricane Katrina, the Kelowna fires, as well as to whistlerquilters.com
